I edit for understanding.
Editing technical content is a strong area of expertise for me. I can work with your engineering and specialist teams to achieve the required level of complexity while significantly increasing the ease of understanding.
Clear technical specification will result in your buyer being able to understand your solution better and sell it up their decision making chain. It will protect your business by clarifying the technical specification for the reader who may not be technically trained. It will ensure technical and procedural compliance.
Sales and technical documents that can be understood everyone at the buyer organisation
I edit to preserve technical detail while making the message clear
When I edit, my main task is to preserve the factual detail while making sure the message is easy to understand. Technical and sales staff are protective over their words. This can mean that a sales document that is full of jargon, hard-to-follow language, and personal phraseology is sent to the buyer. No wonder it is hard for the buyer to understand the value that your proposal seeks to offer. So they end up pushing the price aspect. Your sales team will be on the back foot.
One customer asked, how do you get the technical teams onboard? It’s a brilliant question. Typically, a 1:1 session is sufficient for staff (such as technical engineers or sales teams) to understand and develop trust in my methods. The technical staff soon realise that I focus on adjusting the sentences and not adjusting the technical specification. That’s exactly what I mean, they say, or we work together to adjust how the material is presented. It’s a team effort. My editing will make your technical and sales message shine with clarity.
